Walnut Wood Baroque Commode from circa 1750

A Baroque commode made of walnut wood manufactured in 1750. The body plate and drawers are veneered with dark brown walnut wood, a typical color tone for this era. The commode is very intricately inlaid with floral motifs of precious woods which cover most of the piece. Three wonderfully curled drawers, all embedded with shellac and original locks with matching keys available, offer a lot of storage space. The original fittings were replaced with solid brass fittings and the surface is hand polished with shellac. This masterpiece is a real eye-catcher and creates a wonderful atmosphere in every living room. Wonderful floral motifs accentuate the piece. Astonishing design with curved drawers. Typical baroque dark brown color tone.
