It is a natural product made of solid wood. Each solid wood block is a unique piece made of solid beech or oak wood and thus a single piece including knot holes and cracks and individual color. Each wood block is crafted from high quality wood cut from German forests, ground and pre-dried.

Color variations, cracks, holes, edges or odd, and other natural features are created by wind and weather. Thus, cracks and color variations are quite normal but the expression of a natural, individual character of each piece. Since the logs may contain a residual moisture below the surface where you should put a few pieces of wood for good aeration. The wood chips are supplied free of charge.
